This is the first commercial that I had ever made. Chipotle decided to have its first ever web commercial contest which schools could be a part of. So I submitted my entry through Chapman and YouTube at the time. Chipotle burritos are always so huge so I couldn’t resist the sexually blatant connotation here. I just had to do it. Honestly a few people I know can’t stand the car shaking in one of the shots and they thought I should cut it out, but for some reason it’s really campy and I just loved it, so I left it it. The edit just didn’t seem to flow for me when I cut it out. Being able to develop a good sense of timing is necessary for an editor, sometimes you just feel it. I’m surprised nowadays when I work with my composer that things just somehow seem to fit so well. He says it’s his sense of timing and I say it’s mine, but ultimately our combined efforts work very well together. You can catch him singing “Ahh.. Chipotle” in this video, just too funny.
